LANGUAGE ARTS
We have begun reading From the Mixed-up Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler by E.L.Konigsburg. Not only will we enjoy the movie version, but on January 28 we will see the play at the Quick Center. The students will also create their own museums as a culminating project for this book.
Museum Project
Construct a model museum which you think would be interesting to others. It could be about a famous person, dinosaurs, American Civil War, plants, butterflies, or anything that interests you. When you decide the type of museum you wish to establish, choose a box of appropriate size. Please make it one that you can manage. The museums will be on display in our room. We will invite our school community to view them on a special day.

Math
Our current focus is on time, data, and graphs. We will continue to work on strengthening multi-digit multiplication skills.
Social Studies
The Middle Atlantic states are our next area of focus.
